The town of Duxbury is seeking qualified candidates for a full-time benefit-eligible Human Resources Manager position to provide comprehensive support across all areas of municipal HR operations.
Job Responsibility:
Manages recruitment, including job advertising, applicant tracking, interviews, background checks, onboarding, and benefits enrollment
Administers leave programs, drug and alcohol testing compliance, workers’ compensation, and unemployment
Administers benefits and insurance for employees and retirees, vendor payments, and individualized benefits counseling
Maintains HRIS, ATS, personnel records, databases, and town HR-related webpages
Prepares reports, correspondence, and required regulatory filings
Supports compensation, classification, performance evaluation, and collective bargaining research
Coordinates employee communications, training, recognition programs, and professional development initiatives
Provides analytical benchmarking support
Assists the public and staff as a first point of contact
Delivers training on HR systems and protocols
Requirements:
College degree with three to five years of human resources experience or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge and skills to perform the essential functions of the job
