We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead HR operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is a contract-to-permanent position and requires a dynamic individual who can handle a wide range of responsibilities, including recruitment, employee relations, compliance, and workforce development. The HR Manager will collaborate closely with leadership to ensure HR strategies align with organizational goals while fostering a positive workplace culture.
Job Responsibility:
Manage the full-cycle recruitment process for various roles, including production, skilled trades, administrative, and leadership positions
Develop and execute effective strategies for addressing high-volume or seasonal staffing needs
Oversee onboarding processes and orientation programs tailored to plant-specific requirements
Address employee concerns, mediate workplace conflicts, and provide guidance on corrective actions
Partner with management to enhance employee engagement, morale, and retention
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws, maintaining accurate employment records and data
Collaborate with safety teams to support workplace safety programs and investigate incidents
Administer compensation planning, benefits enrollment, and workers' compensation claims
Coordinate training initiatives to address skill gaps and support workforce development
Monitor certifications, licenses, and skills matrices to ensure staff qualifications meet operational standards
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience
HR certification is a plus
Minimum of 3 years of progressive HR experience, including employee relations and recruitment
Comprehensive understanding of labor laws and workplace safety regulations
Proven ability to manage HR operations within a high-volume hourly workforce
Strong communication skills with expertise in conflict resolution and coaching
Proficiency in HRIS systems, such as ADP Workforce Now, Paylocity, or similar platforms
Familiarity with payroll processes and benefit functions
Experience developing and implementing onboarding and training programs tailored to organizational needs
