We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead key HR operations for a manufacturing environment in South Carolina. This role will oversee talent acquisition, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, and performance programs while partnering closely with leadership to support a productive and engaged workforce. The ideal candidate brings strong knowledge of employment practices, reporting requirements, and HR systems, along with the ability to guide managers through people-related decisions.
Job Responsibility:
Lead day-to-day human resources support for multiple business units, ensuring consistent application of policies and responsive service to employees and managers
Manage the full hiring cycle by sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, coordinating assessments, and selecting talent with relevant experience for open roles
Design and deliver onboarding programs that help new employees integrate quickly and build a strong understanding of company expectations and culture
Maintain accurate HR records related to benefits enrollment, employment status changes, performance documentation, and workforce data required for regulatory reporting
Partner with leadership to provide coaching and guidance on employee relations matters, workplace concerns, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution
Oversee performance management and compensation administration processes to promote fairness, compliance, and organizational alignment
Administer employee benefit offerings, including health, dental, disability, retirement, and leave programs, while addressing questions and resolving issues as needed
Coordinate training for managers on hiring practices, performance feedback, terminations, workplace safety, and harassment prevention
Prepare HR budgets, analyze labor market pay data, and recommend actions that support retention, competitiveness, and operational goals
Conduct exit processes, review turnover and absenteeism trends, investigate workplace incidents, and represent the organization during employment-related hearings or investigations
Requirements:
Proven experience in human resources leadership within a manufacturing or similarly fast-paced operational environment
Strong working knowledge of employment law, HR compliance standards, and government reporting requirements
Hands-on experience with recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, and performance management
Ability to manage sensitive employee matters with sound judgment, discretion, and professionalism
Proficiency with HRIS and payroll platforms such as ADP, UKG Pro, or comparable systems
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to advise managers and build trust across the organization
Experience maintaining detailed HR records, preparing reports, and using data to support workforce decisions
