The Human Resources Manager is a strategic and hands-on leader responsible for building, managing, and executing all HR functions within the organization as a standalone department. Reporting directly to the Executive Team, this role serves as both a trusted advisor and operational driver, ensuring that people strategies align with business objectives while maintaining compliance, culture, and employee engagement.
Job Responsibility:
Partner with the Executive Team to develop and implement HR strategies that support organizational goals and growth
Serve as a key advisor on workforce planning, organizational design, and talent strategy
Build and evolve HR policies, programs, and initiatives from the ground up
Foster a positive, inclusive, and performance-driven company culture
Own and manage all core HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, compensation, and offboarding
Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems
Lead full-cycle recruitment efforts across all departments
Design onboarding programs that ensure successful employee integration
Identify training and development needs
implement learning initiatives to support employee growth
Support leadership development and succession planning efforts
Act as the primary point of contact for employee concerns, conflict resolution, and performance issues
Promote a culture of transparency, accountability, and engagement
Conduct investigations and manage sensitive HR matters with discretion and professionalism
Develop and manage compensation structures and benefits programs
Conduct market analysis to ensure competitive and equitable pay practices
Oversee payroll coordination and benefits administration
Ensure adherence to employment laws, regulations, and best practices
Manage HR-related risk, including policies related to workplace safety, harassment, and ethics
Coordinate with legal counsel when necessary
Track, analyze, and report on key HR metrics to inform decision-making
Provide regular updates and insights to the Executive Team
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred)
5–8+ years of progressive HR experience, including experience operating independently or in a standalone capacity
Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
Demonstrated ability to operate both strategically and tactically
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
High level of discretion and emotional intelligence
