We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead a broad range of people operations in the CHARLTON , Massachusetts area. This role serves as a trusted partner to leadership and employees, guiding talent strategy, compensation, compliance, employee relations, and development initiatives that support a strong workplace culture. The ideal candidate brings hands-on HR leadership experience, sound judgment, and the ability to build scalable programs that support continued organizational growth.
Job Responsibility:
Lead the day-to-day human resources function, ensuring employees and managers receive strong support across the full employment lifecycle
Direct recruiting efforts by anticipating staffing needs, managing candidate selection, and coordinating hiring activities for positions at multiple levels within the organization
Oversee employee benefit programs, including vendor coordination, plan administration, enrollment support, and ongoing evaluation of program effectiveness
Manage biweekly payroll administration for the assigned employee population while maintaining accuracy, timeliness, and policy compliance
Develop and strengthen performance management practices by coaching leaders on reviews, feedback, corrective action, and employee communication
Handle employee relations matters, including workplace investigations, policy concerns, disciplinary issues, and recommendations for legally compliant resolution
Create, update, and communicate HR policies and procedures to align with federal and state employment requirements and organizational standards
Guide compensation programs by reviewing wage competitiveness, incentive opportunities, and salary administration practices that support retention and growth
Identify training and development priorities, coordinate learning opportunities, and support succession planning and broader organizational development efforts
Monitor workers’ compensation activity, contribute to HR budget planning, report on departmental progress to leadership, and promote engagement with the company’s quality management standards
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of progressively responsible human resources experience
6+ years in an HR leadership capacity is strongly preferred
Demonstrated expertise across core HR disciplines, including employee relations, recruiting, benefits administration, payroll, performance management, and policy development
Experience administering biweekly payroll for a workforce of approximately 75 to 80 employees
Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws, compliance reporting, workplace investigations, and sound HR documentation practices
Ability to support organizational growth by building hiring plans, scaling HR processes, and helping develop future HR team capability
Proficiency with HRIS platforms, payroll systems such as ADP, and Microsoft Office applications
Effective communication, sound judgment, problem-solving ability, and strong planning and organizational skills
Nice to have:
Manufacturing or closely related industry experience is preferred, particularly in environments involving safety, policy enforcement, and operational workforce support
