The Human Resources Manager will be the go-to person for all employee-related issues, responsible for overseeing all aspects of HR practices and processes to ensure a productive, innovative, and legally compliant workplace. This role requires a strong focus on talent acquisition, training and development, and employee relations in alignment with Mexico's Federal Labor Law (FLL).
Job Responsibility:
Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives that align with the overall business strategy
Partner closely with HR COEs and other HRBPs across the organization to develop and drive support of ongoing HR transformation
Ensure strict compliance with all local, state, and federal Mexican labor laws and regulations
Maintain accurate personnel records, manage HR databases, and provide decision support to management through HR metrics and reports
Assist with labor-related audits under Mexico's Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare (STPS)
Oversee the entire recruitment and selection process
Partner with department leaders to identify current and future talent/knowledge gaps and implement targeted training and development programs
Manage the performance appraisal system
Coordinate the administration of new employee onboarding and orientation processes
Administer and manage competitive compensation and benefits programs
Participate in compensation surveys and ensure market competitiveness
Act as a liaison between employees and management, addressing demands, grievances, or other issues
Nurture a positive working environment and implement strategies for enhanced employee satisfaction, morale, and retention
Oversee disciplinary actions, conflict resolution, and termination procedures
Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives within the workplace
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
Proven working experience as an HR Manager or HR executive, preferably 5-10 years, with experience in a technology or product development environment
Experience in manufacturing or maquiladora environments is also valuable
Bilingual proficiency (English and Spanish) in both written and verbal communication is required
In-depth knowledge of Mexican labor law (Federal Labor Law) and HR best practices is essential
Strong working knowledge of multiple HR disciplines, including talent acquisition, compensation, and performance management
Familiarity with HR software systems/databases (e.g., Workday, SAP) and data analytics for decision-making
Excellent interpersonal, active listening, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
Ability to architect strategy and manage relationships at all levels of the company
Nice to have:
Master's degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP) is preferred
