We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Manager to support a manufacturing operation in Ohio. This role oversees core HR functions including payroll, onboarding, benefits administration, employee records, and day-to-day employee support. The ideal candidate brings strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage sensitive information accurately in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibility:
Manage weekly payroll, ensuring accuracy, deductions, and compliance with garnishments
Oversee full-cycle onboarding, including screenings, documentation, and system setup
Maintain accurate and compliant employee records (pay, PTO, benefits, documentation)
Administer retirement plans, including contributions, enrollments, and employee support
Manage employee benefits programs, enrollments, and related inquiries
Coordinate contract workforce logistics, time tracking, and conversion processes
Support employee engagement initiatives and company events
Handle offboarding, including benefits termination and exit documentation
Respond to employment-related requests (unemployment, workers’ comp, verifications)
Requirements:
Prior experience in human resources management within a manufacturing or similarly fast-paced operational environment
Working knowledge of payroll processing, employee benefits administration, onboarding, and personnel record maintenance
Familiarity with HRIS platforms and electronic document management for employee files and reporting
Experience supporting employee relations matters with professionalism, discretion, and attention to confidentiality
Understanding of compliance requirements related to I-9 documentation, garnishments, unemployment claims, and benefits coordination
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and maintain accurate records
Effective communication skills for interacting with employees, supervisors, external agencies, and benefit providers
