Job Responsibility:
Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems
Planning as it relates to budget (expenses), headcount, forecasting, etc.
Develops, recommends and implements personnel policies and procedures to deliver superior employee relations
prepares and maintains handbook on policies and procedures
manages benefit and leave administration
Leads the standard recruiting and hiring practices and procedures necessary to recruit and hire a superior workforce
Manage temporary agencies
Establishes and maintains department records and reports
Maintains organizational charts and employee picture directory
Evaluates reports, decisions and results of department initiatives in relation to established goals
Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed
Works with Supervisors to ensure appropriate training and development for hourly employees manage training center
Champion for continuous improvement (BPS)
expected to recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to affect our continuous improvement program
Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive HR experience
At least 3 years in a strategic HR leadership role preferably in a manufacturing/production environment
HR related certification/degree or equivalent experience
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required
Master’s degree or HR certification (PHR/SPHR/SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP) preferred
Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or multi-site environments preferred
