We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Manager to support a Contract assignment in New York, New York within the Marketing/PR industry. This role will oversee core people operations, guide employee relations matters, and help maintain efficient HR administration across the organization. The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of benefits, onboarding, and HR systems while partnering with leadership to promote a well-organized and compliant workplace.
Job Responsibility:
Advise managers and employees on workplace concerns, helping resolve employee relations matters with sound judgment and professionalism
Oversee day-to-day human resources operations, including record maintenance, policy administration, and support for key HR processes
Coordinate benefits-related activities by assisting with enrollments, responding to employee questions, and liaising with benefit providers when needed
Manage onboarding activities to ensure new hires have a smooth and well-structured start, including documentation, orientation, and system access coordination
Maintain accurate employee information within HRIS platforms and generate reports that support staffing, compliance, and operational decisions
Partner with leadership on HR initiatives, workforce updates, and process improvements that strengthen the employee experience
Support compliance with employment policies and applicable regulations by monitoring documentation and recommending corrective action when appropriate
Requirements:
Proven experience in human resources management, with a strong focus on employee relations and HR administration
Working knowledge of benefits administration, including employee support and coordination with external vendors
Hands-on experience using HRIS systems to maintain records, process updates, and produce reports
Demonstrated ability to manage onboarding tasks with accuracy, organization, and attention to detail
Strong understanding of HR policies, confidentiality standards, and employment-related compliance practices
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across multiple levels of an organization
Ability to prioritize responsibilities and perform successfully in a fast-paced Contract environment
