Inspired Education is seeking a Human Resources Manager to join our regional HR team and support our growing operations in Uruguay. Based in Montevideo, this role offers an exciting opportunity to partner closely with school leadership, ensuring the effective implementation of Inspired’s people strategy and fostering a culture of excellence, engagement, and continuous development.
Job Responsibility:
Provide guidance and support to teaching and non-teaching staff on all HR matters, ensuring timely and professional responses
Oversee and validate pre-payroll processes in line with Uruguayan labor regulations and Inspired Education policies
Partner with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) on personnel-related matters, offering advice and practical HR solutions
Act as the main liaison with Inspired’s regional and central HR teams, supporting recruitment, onboarding, and talent management initiatives
Manage the full employee lifecycle, including contracts, onboarding, offboarding, and personnel documentation
Ensure compliance with Uruguayan labor legislation and support expatriate employees with relocation, work permits, and cultural integration
Maintain accurate and confidential HR records, ensuring the secure handling of employee data in accordance with data protection standards
Develop and implement HR policies and procedures aligned with Inspired Education’s global framework and local best practices
Support organizational development, performance management, and employee engagement initiatives
Contribute actively to creating a positive workplace culture that reflects Inspired’s values and promotes collaboration, inclusion, and professional growth
Requirements:
7+ years of proven experience as an HR Generalist or HR Manager, with solid expertise in recruitment, labor relations, organizational development, compensation, and payroll
Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field
Fluency in both Spanish and English, with the ability to operate effectively in a bilingual, multicultural environment
Experience working in fast-growing organizations, ideally within international or education-related settings
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as the main HR point of contact, while collaborating with regional and global teams
Proven ability to advise senior leaders and support organizational change and culture-building efforts
In-depth knowledge of Uruguayan labor law
experience with expatriate support, relocation, and immigration processes is an advantage
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the capacity to build trust and foster strong working relationships across all levels
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, service-oriented environment
Availability to work fully onsite in Montevideo, Uruguay
