The Human Resources Manager serves as a key business partner supporting a hands‑on manufacturing environment. This role oversees all HR functions, including compliance, benefits, payroll oversight, recruiting, employee relations, safety, and HR operations. The ideal candidate is a collaborative, approachable HR professional who can build trust across every level of the organization—from the production floor to senior leadership.
Job Responsibility:
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations (FMLA, ADA, EEOC, OSHA, wage & hour, etc.)
Maintain and update employee handbook, policies, and HR procedures
Conduct internal audits and prepare documentation for external audits
Manage employee benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and supplemental plans
Coordinate open enrollment periods and partner with brokers/carriers
Support employees with benefits questions and troubleshoot issues
Oversee payroll processing in coordination with accounting/finance
Ensure accurate timekeeping, wage calculations, deductions, and compliance with labor standards
Support employees with payroll-related questions
Lead full-cycle recruitment for manufacturing, technical, administrative, and leadership roles
Manage job postings, interviews, candidate evaluation, offers, and onboarding
Develop relationships with trade schools, workforce centers, and staffing partners
Serve as a trusted resource for employees and supervisors
Coach leaders on performance management, corrective actions, and conflict resolution
Conduct fair and timely employee relations investigations
Lead engagement initiatives, retention strategies, and culture-building activities
Manage HRIS accuracy, personnel files, and overall HR documentation
Improve HR processes including onboarding, offboarding, and workforce planning
Prepare HR reports and metrics for leadership review
Partner with Safety/Environmental teams to maintain OSHA compliance
Support accident reporting, workers’ compensation claims, and safety training
Participate in safety committee meetings and facility walkthroughs
Promote a safe, clean, and compliant production environment
Requirements:
5+ years of progressive HR experience, including direct responsibility for compliance, benefits administration, recruiting, and employee relations
Strong knowledge of Colorado labor laws, wage & hour regulations, and foundational employment law
Experience working in manufacturing, industrial, or other hands‑on environments
Proficiency with HR documentation and HRIS systems
Paylocity preferred
Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport at all organizational levels
