We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Manager to join our team in Kemah, Texas in a fully onsite contract-to-permanent role. This position will oversee core HR operations, including payroll, benefits, employee relations, and compliance activities across multiple states. The ideal candidate is bilingual in Spanish, brings strong leadership in HR administration, and is comfortable managing employee records and payroll processing in QuickBooks Online.
Job Responsibility:
Lead day-to-day human resources operations, providing guidance on employee relations, policy interpretation, and workplace matters
Administer multi-state payroll activities, including accurate wage processing, payroll tax coordination, and compliance with applicable regulations
Manage employee benefits programs by handling enrollments, updates, issue resolution, and ongoing plan administration
Maintain organized and accurate personnel records, payroll data, and HR documentation within QuickBooks Online and related HR systems
Oversee onboarding processes to ensure new team members are smoothly integrated and properly documented from their first day
Support compliance efforts by monitoring HR practices, tax requirements, and employment processes across multiple jurisdictions
Partner with leadership to address staffing needs, employee concerns, and process improvements that strengthen the overall employee experience
Assist with HR-related system or process updates when needed, including changes that affect payroll, records management, or reporting workflows
Requirements:
Bilingual communication skills are required
At least 5 years of experience serving in an HR Manager capacity
Demonstrated experience managing multi-state payroll and payroll tax activities
Strong background in benefits administration and employee benefit support
Hands-on experience using QuickBooks Online for payroll processing and employee file management
Knowledge of employee relations practices, onboarding coordination, and HR administration
Familiarity with HRIS platforms and maintaining accurate, compliant employee records
