Boeing Canada Operations Ltd. is currently seeking a Human Resources Intern, working out of the Winnipeg, Manitoba location. This internship is a 4-8-month opportunity working on day shift. We are looking for current Human Resources post-secondary students who are interested in working side-by-side with experienced business professionals. Our student Interns are given a unique experience as they learn the ropes and attain newfound competencies. Interns are exposed to on-the-job business challenges as they work through tasks in a team setting. They have the opportunity to participate in training and to work on special projects. Job Responsibility:
Provide day-to-day HR generalist support: respond to routine employee questions, assist with policy interpretation, prepare HR communications, and support employee engagement activities
Participate in HR projects and process improvement initiatives
Assist with full-cycle recruiting activities: draft and post job ads, screen resumes, coordinate candidate communication, assist with scheduling interviews, and track applicant progress in the applicant tracking system (ATS)
Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws and internal policies by maintaining accurate documentation and escalating issues to HR leads
Perform other HR-related duties as assigned to support the team and organizational objectives
Working directly with an assigned mentor or a buddy
Requirements:
Must be enrolled as a full-time student with an accredited university or college
Must have intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (i.e. Excel, Word and PowerPoint, Outlook)
Must be legally able to work in Canada
Individual must not pose a risk for safeguarding of controlled goods
Must be eligible to handle US export-controlled data
Nice to have:
Prefer previous internship experience
Exposure to Human resources within a manufacturing environment
