The Human Resources Intern supports day-to-day HR operations with a focus on onboarding and offboarding, recruitment coordination, employee engagement initiatives, and HR documentation management. This role provides hands-on experience across multiple HR functions and contributes to projects that improve the employee experience and HR efficiency.
Job Responsibility:
Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding processes, including preparing paperwork, coordinating schedules, and ensuring completion of required documentation
Support new hire orientation activities and help maintain onboarding checklists and materials
Assist with offboarding documentation, system updates, and exit process coordination
Coordinate and schedule interviews between candidates, hiring managers, and HR team members
Support recruitment activities such as posting jobs, tracking candidates, and maintaining recruitment records
Assist with preparation for interviews, including interview packets and candidate communications
Support planning and participation in career fairs, campus recruiting events, and community outreach activities
Assist with event logistics, materials preparation, and follow-up communications
Represent the organization professionally at recruitment and networking events when appropriate
Assist with planning and execution of employee engagement initiatives, recognition activities, and internal HR events
Provide logistical and administrative support for wellness, engagement, and culture-building programs
Help gather feedback and assist with post-event follow-up or documentation
Assist with job description projects, including reviewing, organizing, and updating job descriptions
Support job description audits and version control to ensure consistency and accuracy
Maintain and update HR templates, forms, and standardized documents as needed
Provide general administrative support to the HR team, including data entry, filing, and document management
Participate in HR projects and process improvement initiatives
Requirements:
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality, demonstrating professional work ethic
High school diploma and currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
