We are looking for an experienced, part time, M-F, on site, Human Resources (HR) Manager to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This role is based in Turners Falls, Massachusetts, and offers an opportunity to contribute to the success of a dynamic non-profit organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing HR operations, ensuring compliance, and fostering a positive workplace environment. Job Responsibility:
Plan and coordinate staff meetings to enhance communication and collaboration
Develop and refine onboarding and offboarding processes to support employee transitions
Manage recruitment efforts to attract and retain top talent as organizational needs evolve
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for organizational compliance and reporting
Organize and manage HR files to ensure accessibility and confidentiality
Support benefit enrollment processes and promote awareness of available programs
Facilitate payroll and employee data updates to ensure accuracy in master records
Ensure compliance with HR regulations, including OSHA standards and workplace policies
Address employee relations matters to maintain a fair and supportive work environment
Requirements:
Proven experience in employee relations and fostering a positive workplace culture
Strong knowledge of human resources administration and HR compliance standards
Familiarity with benefit functions, including enrollment and program promotion
Expertise in HRIS systems and maintaining accurate employee records
Demonstrated ability to manage onboarding and offboarding processes efficiently
Understanding of OSHA guidelines and workplace safety regulations
Recruitment skills, including sourcing and assessing candidates effectively
Ability to organize and maintain HR documentation and files with attention to detail
