We are looking for an experienced Human Resources (HR) Manager to guide people operations and administrative functions for a multi-line business environment in Flushing, New York. This position works closely with senior leaders to strengthen organizational structure, support business goals, and foster a workplace that values compliance, accountability, and employee engagement. The role combines strategic planning with day-to-day execution across HR programs, office administration, and risk oversight.
Job Responsibility
Lead the development of HR programs and organizational practices that support performance management, employee growth, and operational consistency
Collaborate with executives and department leaders to connect staffing priorities and departmental plans with financial targets and long-term business objectives
Build workforce planning approaches that help the organization scale effectively while maintaining productivity and resource alignment
Oversee HR and administrative policies to ensure business units operate in accordance with labor requirements and applicable regulatory standards
Manage employee relations matters, provide guidance on workplace concerns, and support formal reviews or investigations when necessary
Maintain accurate HR documentation, procedures, and internal controls to reduce legal exposure and strengthen day-to-day compliance
Direct office administration activities and monitor workplace practices that promote safety, efficiency, and strong operational support
Support benefits administration, onboarding processes, and HR systems usage to improve the employee experience and maintain reliable personnel records
Requirements
Demonstrated experience in a Human Resources leadership role with responsibility for both strategic planning and daily HR operations
Strong working knowledge of New York labor law and general employment compliance requirements
Background in employee relations, including handling sensitive workplace issues with professionalism and sound judgment
Experience with HR administration, benefits coordination, onboarding, and policy management
Familiarity with HRIS platforms and the ability to maintain accurate employee data and reporting
Proven ability to partner with senior leadership on workforce planning, budgeting discussions, and organizational development initiatives
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach to execution
