Job Description

Exciting opportunity for a Human Resources (HR) Manager to join the team in Camas, Washington, with a focus on manufacturing operations and talent development. This hands-on role requires expertise in HR disciplines and labor law compliance.

Job Responsibility

  • Act as the primary HR contact for employees and leadership within our manufacturing operations
  • Oversee recruitment efforts for the operations organization, collaborating with managers to recruit top talent for key roles
  • Identify and develop additional recruitment sources for both entry-level and experienced manufacturing employees and technicians
  • Provide guidance, support, and recommendations for resolving complex employee relations activities, including coaching conversations, investigatory meetings, and administration of discipline
  • Address employee complaints and concerns, conducting thorough investigations while ensuring compliance with company policy and relevant statutes
  • Collaborate with managers and employees on a range of issues including performance management, compensation, and organizational and employee development
  • Apply legal requirements, company policy, and values to make recommendations for resolving employment-related issues, working closely with management to ensure compliance with policies and labor laws
  • Act as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert, guiding managers in addressing employee relations issues and advising on fair and consistent handling of situations requiring discipline
  • Build productive and influential relationships across all levels of the operations organization, gathering insights to enable better management coaching and employee engagement
  • Lead the implementation of programs within operations and collaborate with HR team members on the development of corporate-level HR programs, policies, practices, compensation, benefits, and recruiting strategies
  • Maintain operations position descriptions and job postings and review all operations personnel actions such as hires, terminations, disciplinary actions, and transfers in accordance with company policies and practices
  • Track and report on HR data and metrics in support of operations management
  • Supervise the operations HR coordinator.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in Human Resources Management or similar role
  • Proficient knowledge of Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), specifically Paylocity and HCM
  • Demonstrable experience with HR metrics and ability to handle Benefit Functions
  • In-depth understanding of all HR functions and best practices, including Hiring Processes and HR Administration
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage in effective Employee Relations
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills to manage and direct different HR roles
  • Thorough knowledge of labor laws and HR Compliance
  • Ability to develop and implement HR strategies that align with the organization's business goals
  • Degree in Human Resources or related field may be preferred.
