Job Description

Charlie Gilmur with Robert Half is looking for a dedicated Human Resources (HR) Generalist to join our team in Woodburn, Oregon. This role plays a key part in managing daily HR operations within a manufacturing environment, providing support in areas such as recruitment, onboarding, compliance, and employee relations. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with leadership to ensure HR strategies align with organizational goals while fostering a fair and inclusive workplace.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment processes for both exempt and non-exempt positions
  • Collaborate with external staffing agencies and recruitment partners to source candidates with relevant experience
  • Oversee onboarding and integration processes for new hires to ensure a smooth transition
  • Maintain and update applicant tracking systems and ensure compliance with reporting requirements
  • Coordinate employment-based visa programs, such as H-2B, in partnership with legal counsel
  • Administer and track employee leaves, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements
  • Communicate with medical providers to manage return-to-work clearances and related processes
  • Maintain accurate personnel records, including I-9 documentation, and ensure readiness for audits
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and company policies
  • Partner with leadership to address employee relations issues and promote a positive work environment

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws, including compliance standards
  • Proficiency in managing full-cycle recruitment and workforce planning initiatives
  • Experience with leave administration and maintaining accurate employee documentation
  • Familiarity with employment-based visa programs, such as H-2B
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across different levels of the organization
  • High level of confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems, Microsoft Office, and other tracking tools
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred to support a diverse workforce
