Job Description

A Robert Half client is seeking a well-rounded HR Generalist to support a growing, fast-paced organization in the transportation and logistics space. This is an onsite role supporting approximately 100 employees and reporting directly to the Vice President. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being hands-on and involved across all areas of HR.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage full-cycle recruiting, onboarding, and offboarding
  • Serve as a trusted resource to leadership and employees on HR-related matters
  • Handle employee relations, investigations, and conflict resolution
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Maintain and update HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook
  • Support performance management, including coaching managers and disciplinary processes
  • Administer employee benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401k) and act as liaison with vendors
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS (ADP)
  • Partner with leadership on workforce planning and organizational needs

Requirements

  • 4+ years of HR experience in a generalist or standalone capacity
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices and employment law
  • Experience in transportation, logistics, manufacturing, or similar environments preferred
  • Comfortable operating independently and managing multiple priorities
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
