We are looking for an organized and proactive Human Resources (HR) Assistant to join our team on a contract basis in Auburn, Washington. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support HR functions while collaborating with various departments. As an integral part of the team, you will manage administrative tasks, assist with employee relations, and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
Job Responsibility:
Coordinate HR-related events, including holiday celebrations, recognition programs, and employee luncheons
Maintain accurate personnel files and records, ensuring compliance with employment law and company policies
Support recruitment efforts by assisting with background checks, drug testing, and preparation of new employee documentation
Update and manage HR databases, tracking spreadsheets, and payroll systems
Provide administrative assistance to the General Manager and Operations Director, including data entry and reporting
Assist with employee onboarding processes, including orientation and distribution of employment forms
Plan and organize projects, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met
Track and report HR metrics, including compliance posters and pay rate updates
Handle receptionist duties, including greeting visitors and managing communications
Utilize Microsoft Office Suite to create presentations, flyers, and templates for employee programs
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in human resources or administrative roles
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Strong organizational and multitasking skills with excellent attention to detail
Knowledge of employment laws and compliance regulations
Experience with event planning and project coordination
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information responsibly
Familiarity with HRIS systems and data entry processes
Nice to have:
Bilingual proficiency in any language is preferred but not required
