We are looking for a detail-oriented Human Resources (HR) Assistant to support a busy HR team in Indianapolis, Indiana. This Long-term Contract opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys coordinating administrative projects, maintaining organized records, and helping move hiring and onboarding activities forward. The role offers a part-time schedule and requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual who can manage multiple priorities while providing dependable support in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibility:
Coordinate assigned human resources projects and provide day-to-day administrative support to help keep priorities on track
Evaluate applicant information, organize candidates by opening, and identify individuals who should move forward in the hiring process
Arrange interviews and internal meetings by securing appropriate meeting space and assisting with scheduling logistics
Maintain accurate files and HR documentation to support compliance and efficient record management
Prepare onboarding materials and assemble new employee packets to support a smooth start for incoming employees
Assist with onboarding processes, ensuring required steps are completed in a timely manner
Support general HR operations and contribute to additional administrative or project-based tasks as business needs evolve
Requirements:
High school diploma required
additional college coursework is preferred
Previous experience in human resources administration, onboarding, employee relations support, or related office coordination work
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Word and Excel
Ability to stay organized, handle multiple assignments at once, and maintain accuracy in a fast-moving environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills with a detail-oriented and courteous approach
Comfortable using standard office equipment and HRIS or other human resources information systems
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
Ability to remain seated for extended periods while performing primarily sedentary work
