We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our team in Honolulu, Hawaii. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in managing HR functions, including employee relations, payroll, benefits administration, and compliance. Job Responsibility:
Facilitate onboarding processes, including conducting orientation sessions, verifying new employee information, and coordinating ID badge issuance
Develop and update job descriptions by conducting thorough research on positions, compensation, and responsibilities
Manage employee data in HR systems, including entering new employee information, processing payroll details, maintaining benefits records, and handling terminations
Administer benefits programs such as open enrollment and oversee compliance with state and federal regulations
Prepare and submit required federal and state surveys, ensuring accurate data collection and reporting
Reconcile company credit card transactions and manage billing processes
Address employee relations matters, including conducting investigations, organizing meetings, and managing leave administration
Process payroll on a bi-weekly basis and ensure timely delivery of paychecks
Handle medical leave, disability claims, and workers’ compensation cases with precision and care
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience
Minimum of five years of progressive experience in human resources roles
Proficiency in HR systems such as ADP Total Source and familiarity with payroll processes for mid-sized organizations
Strong knowledge of benefits administration and compliance with state and federal regulations
Demonstrated ability to manage employee relations and conduct investigations effectively
Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and SharePoint for documentation and reporting
Valid driver’s license is required for occasional travel
Nice to have:
Certification such as PHR or SHRM-CP is preferred but not required
