Robert Half is partnering with a valued client in Fort Wayne to identify a skilled Human Resources Generalist for a temporary assignment. This role is ideal for a hands-on HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is confident managing day-to-day HR operations with minimal supervision. This position is on-site Monday to Friday.
Job Responsibility:
Serve as a primary HR contact for employees and managers
Provide guidance on policy interpretation, performance concerns, and conflict resolution
Conduct internal investigations and document findings
Support change management and communication initiatives
Partner with hiring managers to define staffing needs
Post job ads, screen applicants, conduct interviews, and coordinate offers
Manage pre-employment screenings, background checks, and new-hire paperwork
Facilitate orientations and onboarding activities
Maintain employee files and ensure compliance with company, state, and federal regulations
Monitor FMLA, ADA, and other leave-of-absence programs
Assist with audits and ensure proper recordkeeping
Administer HR policies and recommend updates
Assist employees with benefits questions and enrollment
Partner with payroll regarding timekeeping corrections and employment changes
Support open enrollment activities and vendor communication
Track performance evaluations and maintain documentation
Assist with employee recognition initiatives and culture-building programs
Coordinate training sessions and track participation
