We are looking for a Human Resources Generalist to join a growing team in a contract-to-permanent capacity. This role supports employees and leaders across a broad range of HR activities, including employee relations, recruiting, benefits administration, compliance, and HR operations. The ideal candidate brings strong judgment, a service-oriented approach, and the ability to manage sensitive matters with discretion while helping strengthen workplace culture and day-to-day HR processes.
Job Responsibility:
Advise employees and managers on workplace policies, procedures, and HR best practices while promoting fair and consistent application across the organization.
Lead employee relations work by reviewing concerns, conducting investigations, documenting findings, and guiding managers on appropriate next steps.
Manage full-cycle recruitment for both hourly and salaried positions, including sourcing, screening, coordinating interviews, and supporting hiring decisions.
Administer employee benefits activities such as open enrollment, plan changes, employee education, and resolution of benefits-related questions.
Draft and share internal HR communications related to policy updates, benefits information, and employee status changes.
Maintain accurate personnel files, update HRIS records, generate reports and metrics, and support ongoing system-related compliance activities.
Partner with leadership to identify opportunities to improve HR policies, procedures, and programs for greater effectiveness and operational efficiency.
Help foster a positive work environment by monitoring employee morale, supporting development initiatives, and contributing to training programs.
Coordinate offboarding activities, including termination documentation, exit interviews, feedback analysis, and collaboration with payroll and workers’ compensation administration.
Provide day-to-day support to the HR team while serving as a dependable and confidential resource for employees and managers.
Requirements:
Experience in a broad HR Generalist role with hands-on responsibility for employee relations, HR administration, and benefits support.
Ability to conduct workplace investigations, document findings thoroughly, and provide practical coaching to managers on employee matters.
Background in full-cycle recruiting for a variety of roles, including hourly, salaried, and technical positions.
Working knowledge of federal and California employment laws, compliance standards, and accepted HR practices.
Proficiency with HRIS platforms, including experience maintaining employee data and producing reports
familiarity with ADP Workforce Now is preferred.
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain policies clearly, respond to employee questions, and prepare clear internal communications.
High level of discretion and sound judgment when handling confidential personnel information.
Experience supporting onboarding, offboarding, compliance training, and cross-functional coordination with payroll or safety-related programs.
