Our construction client is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support daily HR operations and employee relations across a busy and growing organization. This position will play a key role in recruiting, onboarding, compliance, and employee support. The ideal candidate will be comfortable communicating by phone, providing excellent customer service, and working with employees at all levels of the organization. Due to the nature of the work and onsite requirements, preference will be given to Hawaii residents. Applicants should be able to reliably commute or reside within the region to meet business needs. Job Responsibility:
Support recruiting, onboarding, and offboarding processes
Maintain employee records and assist with HR documentation and compliance
Respond to employee questions regarding policies, benefits, and procedures
Assist with payroll coordination, timekeeping, and personnel updates
Conduct phone screens and schedule interviews with candidates
Help coordinate training, employee engagement, and performance-related processes
Support employee relations matters and escalate issues as needed
Assist with HR reporting and other administrative projects
Requirements:
Previous experience in human resources or a related role
Experience handling phones and providing excellent customer service
Knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and personnel procedures
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems preferred
