Villatel, a hospitality company, seeks an HR Generalist to support daily operations of our short-term rental homes in Davenport and Kissimmee. In this role, you will partner with managers and team members to deliver human resources support across the entire employee life cycle including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, performance management, and benefits administration while promoting and supporting a positive, safe, and healthy workplace culture.
Job Responsibility:
Coordinate full-cycle recruitment for hourly and management positions, including job postings, interviews, hiring, and onboarding
Conduct new-hire orientation and ensure completion of I-9’s, background checks, and onboarding documentation
Serve as the point of contact for employee relations matters
investigate concerns and recommend appropriate resolutions
Assist managers with performance management, coaching, disciplinary actions, and terminations in accordance with company policies and employment laws
Support training initiatives including compliance training, leadership development, and hospitality-specific service programs
Administer and process leaves of absence (FMLA, ADA, worker’s compensation), and respond to employee benefit inquiries
Maintain accurate employee records and PEO/HRIS data, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with record keeping requirements
Create, implement, and support employee engagement programs, recognition initiatives, and retention strategies
Participate in HR projects such as performance review cycles, policy updates, and culture initiatives
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related field highly preferred
2-5 years of HR Generalist experience, preferably in hospitality, hotels, resorts, restaurants, or vacation rental operations
Strong knowledge of employment law, wage and hour regulations, and hospitality workforce practices
