Robert Half is partnering with a well-established logistics organization seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to support daily HR operations across multiple locations. This role is responsible for recruiting coordination, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, leave administration, benefits support, and HR process improvement. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and knowledgeable in multi-state employment law, with experience supporting a fast-paced, compliance-driven workforce.
Job Responsibility
Coordinate full-cycle recruitment activities including job postings, interview scheduling, offer administration, and pre-employment screenings
Facilitate new hire onboarding and orientation programs
Complete I-9 and E-Verify processes and maintain employment eligibility documentation
Support hiring managers throughout the recruitment and onboarding process
Serve as a liaison between HR and payroll to ensure timely processing of employee changes and compensation updates
Assist with benefits administration, employee inquiries, and annual open enrollment activities
Maintain accurate employee records and ensure HRIS data integrity
Generate HR reports and assist with workforce analytics
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
Administer employee leave programs including FMLA, CFRA, ADA accommodations, and other protected leaves
Support workers' compensation administration and return-to-work processes
Conduct periodic audits of employee records and HR processes
Maintain documentation and records related to regulatory and operational requirements
Respond to employee questions regarding policies, procedures, and workplace concerns
Assist with employee relations matters, investigations, and documentation
Partner with managers on performance management, corrective action, and policy interpretation
Support annual performance review and employee development initiatives
Coordinate compliance-related and professional development training programs
Assist with employee engagement, recognition, and retention initiatives
Support organizational efforts to promote a positive workplace culture
Partner with leadership to align HR practices with business objectives
Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and operational efficiency
Assist with special projects and organizational initiatives as assigned
Stay current on employment law updates, HR best practices, and industry trends
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience
Strong knowledge of employment law, employee relations, leave administration, and HR compliance
Experience supporting multi-state workforces
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms
Nice to have
SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification
Experience in transportation, logistics, manufacturing, construction, or other highly regulated industries
Knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance requirements
Experience supporting multi-site operations and distributed workforces
Familiarity with UKG or similar HRIS systems
