An established agricultural company in San Marcos is seeking an HR Generalist to support daily human resources functions across a growing workforce. This role will assist with recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, benefits administration, and HR operations in a fast-paced agricultural environment. The ideal candidate is adaptable, detail-oriented, and comfortable supporting both field and office employees while balancing operational HR responsibilities with employee support initiatives.
Job Responsibility:
Support day-to-day HR operations including employee onboarding, offboarding, and personnel administration
Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with company policies and employment regulations
Assist employees and supervisors with HR-related questions and workplace concerns
Coordinate benefits enrollment and employee documentation processes
Support leave administration and workers' compensation processes
Assist with recruitment activities including job postings, interview scheduling, and onboarding coordination
Participate in hiring events and workforce outreach efforts as needed
Coordinate training initiatives and maintain training compliance records
Support employee engagement and retention initiatives
Ensure compliance with state and federal labor regulations
Maintain accurate HRIS records and reporting documentation
Assist with audits, policy updates, and compliance tracking
Support safety initiatives and HR process improvements
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
3+ years of HR Generalist experience required
Agricultural, farming, food production, or field operations experience preferred
Experience with HRIS platforms such as Paycom, ADP, or similar preferred
Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and Outlook required
