The HR Generalist will play a critical role in supporting vital HR functions, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, and fostering a positive, engaging workplace environment. Responsibilities include recruitment, training facilitation, compliance management, payroll support, and assisting with company-wide HR initiatives. Strong communication skills, HR experience, and knowledge of employment laws are essential.
Job Responsibility:
Act as a point of contact for employees to address concerns, resolve workplace issues, and promote employee engagement
Support the recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and facilitating new hire onboarding
Ensure company policies are up to date and comply with local, state, and federal regulations
Maintain employee records in accordance with compliance requirements
Facilitate employee training programs and assist managers in identifying growth opportunities for team members
Assist with payroll processes, benefits enrollment, and addressing employee questions related to compensation and benefits
Support performance evaluation processes, goal setting, and coaching efforts to drive continuous improvement
Prepare and analyze HR-related data, including turnover, retention, and recruitment metrics, to inform HR strategies
Assist with company-wide HR initiatives, such as diversity and inclusion programs, community engagement, or HRIS implementation.
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of relevant HR experience (generalist-level responsibility preferred)
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
equivalent experience may be considered
Professional certifications such as SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or Professional in Human Resources (PHR) are a plus
Familiarity with HRIS software (e.g., Workday, ADP), as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Strong communication, conflict-resolution, and team-building skills
Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Solid understanding of employment laws, wage regulations, and HR compliance standards.
Nice to have:
Professional certifications such as SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or Professional in Human Resources (PHR)
Familiarity with HRIS software (e.g., Workday, ADP).
