Job Description

The Human Resources Generalist will play a key role in supporting daily HR operations, including employee relations, onboarding, compliance, and performance management. The ideal candidate will have experience in a multi-state or property management environment and a strong understanding of HR best practices.

Job Responsibility

  • Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs
  • Manage full-cycle onboarding and offboarding processes for corporate and property-level staff
  • Support employee relations efforts by addressing concerns, conducting investigations, and resolving workplace issues
  • Assist with performance management processes, including reviews, coaching, and documentation
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Administer benefits programs and support open enrollment processes
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data
  • Partner with leadership on workforce planning, organizational development, and HR initiatives
  • Assist with recruiting efforts, including job postings, screening, and interview coordination
  • Support payroll processes and ensure accuracy in employee data reporting

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 3+ years of HR experience, preferably within real estate, property management, or a multi-site environment
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
  • Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism

Nice to have

SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred
