Job Description:

The HR Generalist is responsible for administering and managing employee benefits programs, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting employees with benefits-related inquiries. This role combines general HR responsibilities with a strong focus on benefits administration, employee engagement, and policy implementation.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage day-to-day administration of employee benefits programs (health, dental, vision, life, disability, retirement plans)
  • Coordinate open enrollment processes, including communication, system updates, and employee support
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for benefits-related questions and issue resolution
  • Liaise with benefits providers, brokers, and third-party administrators
  • Monitor benefits costs and assist with plan evaluations and renewals
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., ACA, COBRA, FMLA, ERISA)
  • Maintain accurate benefits records and documentation
  • Assist with audits, reporting, and filings related to benefits programs
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes
  • Maintain HRIS data accuracy and employee records
  • Assist with employee relations issues and HR policy interpretation
  • Support performance management and training initiatives
  • Develop and distribute benefits communication materials
  • Conduct employee education sessions on benefits programs
  • Promote wellness initiatives and employee engagement programs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 3–5 years of HR experience, with a strong focus on benefits administration
  • Knowledge of benefits laws and regulations (ACA, COBRA, FMLA, HIPAA)
  • Experience with HRIS and benefits administration systems
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
