The Human Resources Generalist/Recruiter supports the HR Director in managing the daily operations of the Human Resources department, with a strong emphasis on construction recruiting. This role is responsible for full‑cycle recruitment, onboarding, compliance, equipment tracking, and enforcing company policies and practices.
Job Responsibility:
Manage full‑cycle recruiting for all new and vacant construction positions
Develop and maintain meaningful industry contacts to support ongoing recruiting efforts
Participate in job fairs and recruiting events as needed
Create, write, and format engaging job postings
Conduct all new hire onboarding, including completion of new hire paperwork, I‑9 verification
Maintain and update HR policies and procedures in compliance with laws
Monitor compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations
Respond accurately and timely to unemployment claims
Maintain strict confidentiality of all employee records
Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of all employee benefit plans
Communicate benefit plan features to employees
Coordinate and support the annual Open Enrollment process
Administer employee benefit programs
Ensure COBRA compliance
Requirements:
Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in recruiting or human resources
Valid driver’s license and ability to drive as required for job duties
Experience handling confidential information with discretion and professionalism
Nice to have:
HR experience within the construction industry or a related field
