The Manager, Human Resources Generalist, is part of a high-performing HRG team at the center of delivering and continuously improving core people processes across the organization. This role offers a unique opportunity to build broad HR capability while executing critical programs spanning talent acquisition, performance management, compensation, engagement, associate relations, and workforce planning. Working in close partnership with HR COEs and HR Business Partners, the HRG Manager ensures that HR programs are delivered with precision, consistency, and impact—supporting leaders with data, insights, and seamless execution. At the same time, this role contributes to improving how work gets done by identifying opportunities to streamline processes, enhance tools, and elevate the associate experience. Job Responsibility
Partner with leaders and organizational capability team as appropriate to ensure that organizational structures are aligned with business goals, work processes/systems are efficient and can be leveraged across disciplines, and roles and accountabilities are clearly defined and aligned with key priorities and a shared vision with decisions made at the right level
Support facilitation of succession and workforce planning activities that support the business growth strategy
Provide support to business leaders to optimize human resources strategies, executing against HR Talent Strategy to drive business outcomes
Partner with HR Talent Performance COE to drive performance within the stakeholder organization and ensure optimal business decisions are made that protect and strengthen Marriott culture and brand
Support the ongoing development of talent and organizational capability for assigned teams, understand the talent needs of the organization
assess current and future talent needs based on business levels and growth plans, develop plans and programs to address both talent and skill gaps
Monitors, manages, and administers human resource procedures and plans for assigned teams, including partnering with HR COEs and Associate Relations teams on cyclical and lifecycle processes
Execute annual and cyclical HR programs, including performance management, compensation planning, engagement surveys, workforce planning activities, and required training processes
Track milestones, manage data inputs and outputs, and ensure accurate completion of assigned HR deliverables
Prepare HR reports, dashboards, and materials for leaders and HR partners using established templates and tools
Build working knowledge across HR disciplines including compensation, performance management, talent processes, and workforce data
Partner with HR COEs and HR Business Partners to ensure accurate and timely execution of HR initiatives
Ensure employee data accuracy across HR systems by auditing data, identifying discrepancies, and following corrective processes
Administer HR procedures and ensure data accuracy

Serve as a reliable point of contact for standard HR questions, directing stakeholders to the right resources when needed
Execute and administer core HR programs (performance, compensation, engagement, workforce planning, training)
Track key milestones, deliverables, and compliance requirements
Follow defined HRG processes and documentation standards to ensure consistent execution across the team
Collaborate with fellow HRG team members to share best practices, track work, and manage volume
Identify process gaps or inefficiencies and raise improvement opportunities to HRG leadership
Support small-scale process enhancements, documentation updates, or automation efforts when directed
Incorporate feedback to improve accuracy, communication, and efficiency
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college
2+ years of relevant professional experience in human resources, organizational capability, human capital consulting or related function, demonstrating progressive career growth and pattern of exceptional performance
Nice to have
Advanced degree, including MBA or MS
Strategic mindset with strong business acumen and detail orientation
Experience in a role requiring independent decision-making and management of conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment
Experience supporting HR programs or operations in a corporate or shared services environment
Familiarity with HR systems, reporting tools, and data management
Recent experience as a Human Resources professional engaging with Senior Level Executives
specifically, broad experience base in one or more of the following areas: talent management and development, workforce planning, employee relations, recruitment, compensation, performance management and coaching, organizational design and change management
