Job Description

BrainWorks has been retained by a global manufacturing leader to conduct a search for Human Resources Director – Sales Division, based in the Atlanta Metro area. The Human Resources Director will serve as a strategic business partner to senior commercial leaders, driving talent strategy, organizational effectiveness, succession planning, leadership development, and change management initiatives. This individual will play a critical role in helping the organization evolve, build leadership capability, and align talent strategies with business objectives in a dynamic, customer-focused environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Serve as the primary HR partner to senior commercial leaders supporting the North America Sales Division
  • Partner with senior leaders (SVPs and VPs) to drive organizational transformation initiatives, aligning structure, talent, and leadership capabilities with evolving business and customer needs
  • Advise leaders on organizational design, workforce planning, talent management, and change initiatives
  • Lead succession planning and talent development efforts, with a focus on strengthening leadership pipelines and building bench strength across the organization

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • advanced degree preferred
  • 7+ years of progressive HR experience, including significant HR Business Partner or HR leadership experience
  • Demonstrated experience supporting commercial and/or sales client groups
  • Proven experience driving or supporting organizational transformation within commercial, sales, or customer-facing organizations
  • Strong background in organizational design, talent management, succession planning, and leadership development
  • Experience partnering with senior executives and influencing business strategy

  • Partner with each respective client leadership team to define a vision that drives innovation, growth, and employee engagement. Then partner with global Centers of Excellence (COEs) to execute people strategies at the Business Unit (BU) / function level, including org design, organizational effectiveness, leadership development, and workforce planning & strategy
  • Partner with the business to drive enabling strategies, including leveraging our global footprint to define the future operating model for clients
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders and employees, guiding the execution of HR programs, processes, communications, and strategic initiatives. Develop strong partnerships with HR centers of expertise, oversee leadership development, talent management, staff engagement, and retention. Partner with Amgen's talent acquisition organization to identify and attract top external talent to key leadership roles
  • Combine data and people insights to coach and guide clients on HR and business-related issues to shape and affect positive change in the organization, including strategy clarification, organization design, change management, talent development, team/organizational effectiveness, and workforce planning
  • Support, with strong collaboration from our Data & Insights capability pillar, Organization Effectiveness (OE), and other CF HRBPs, Corporate Functions and client-specific HR metrics strategy and reporting. Leverage data to develop insights, identify and drive solutions based on functional metrics (turnover, engagement, buy vs. build, etc.) to support desired business outcomes
  • Shape and foster a high-performing and highly engaged culture. Lead talent management processes to strengthen the leadership pipeline
  • Partner with leaders to acquire, develop, engage, and retain talent. Ensure talent management and succession planning activities for client groups for the purpose of identifying leadership gaps and solutions
  • Help manage and support Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging (DI&B) efforts in close partnership with the Talent & Culture (T&C) organization. Provide input on culture and inclusion strategy while actively assisting on initiatives
  • Lead large-scale change by partnering and collaborating with leaders cross-functionally and across geographies. Influence executive decision-making on business transformation and future-of-work strategy
  • Work closely with our compensation team to monitor the financial competitiveness of the functions you support and help deliver both ad hoc and organization-wide improvements. Identify areas of misalignment and partner closely with Compensation to seek out external benchmarking to ensure continued competitiveness with our peer set
