Responsible for oversight and supporting employees and HR initiatives in the Midwest Business Unit. Ensures accessibility of HR to all employees, resolves employee concerns, integrates human capital strategies, responds to legal challenges, and achieves financial objectives.
Job Responsibility:
Oversight and support of employees within the Midwest Business Unit
manage Employee Relations Team
support Global HR Director related to companywide initiatives and HR policies and procedures
ensure accessibility of HR to employees through an open-door policy
detailed investigation and resolution of employee concerns
maintain business relationships by understanding strategies and business operations
identify training and development needs
integrate succession planning, performance management, career development, recruiting, job study analysis and workforce diversity
respond to legal charges such as Wage & Hour complaints and EEOC claims
comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements
achieve financial objectives by preparing annual budgets, scheduling expenditures, and initiating corrective actions
recruit, select, orient, train, coach, counsel, and discipline employees
increase employee effectiveness
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
five years of experience or more preferred working in a human resources department including minimum of three years of management responsibility in Human Resources
expertise with MS Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word preferred
physical demands: work requires frequent sitting, standing, walking and use of keyboard/computer, occasional bending, reaching and lifting/moving up to 35 pounds
work is subject to tight deadlines and interruptions can be stressful
travel to store locations as necessary
Nice to have:
experience with MS Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
