A growing biotech company in Carlsbad is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to support daily HR operations, employee onboarding, recruiting coordination, and HR administrative functions. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow their HR career within a fast-paced, innovative environment while gaining exposure to multiple areas of human resources. The Human Resources Coordinator will work closely with HR leadership and hiring managers to help maintain organized processes, support employee experience initiatives, and ensure smooth day-to-day HR operations.
Job Responsibility
Maintain employee records, onboarding documentation, and HR files
Assist employees with general HR-related questions and administrative requests
Support benefits enrollment coordination and employee paperwork processing
Help maintain HRIS records and ensure employee data accuracy
Assist with leave tracking, compliance documentation, and policy acknowledgments
Coordinate interviews, candidate scheduling, and recruiting logistics
Assist with posting job openings and maintaining applicant tracking systems
Prepare onboarding materials and support new hire orientation processes
Coordinate background checks, employment verifications, and onboarding follow-up
Support HR reporting, audits, and compliance-related projects
Maintain confidentiality of employee and company information
Assist with employee engagement activities and internal HR initiatives
Help coordinate trainings, meetings, and HR communication efforts
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
1–3 years of HR, recruiting, or administrative experience preferred
Biotech, healthcare, life sciences, or corporate office experience is a plus
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
Professional communication and interpersonal skills required
Experience with Workday, ADP, Paycom, or similar HRIS systems preferred
Microsoft Office Suite proficiency required
SHRM-CP or PHR certification in progress is a plus
Nice to have
