An exciting restaurant group is looking for a Human Resources Coordinator on a contract to hire basis. You will help support daily HR and people operations across multiple states, and you will join a HR team of 3 to help support around 1500 employees! This is an on-site role located in Beverly Hills that will start immediately.
Job Responsibility:
Provide HR administrative support, with a particular emphasis on California employment law and compliance
Act as a primary point of contact for employee HR inquiries and help escalate issues as needed
Support employee relations, including documentation and timely follow-up
Manage EDD requests, employment verifications, and records requests—especially for California employees
Administer employee benefits, handling enrollments, changes, terminations, and open enrollment processes
Liaise between employees, payroll, and benefits vendors to resolve benefits-related concerns
Ensure full compliance with Form I-9 documentation and related federal and state requirements
Assist with recruiting and talent processes, such as candidate tracking and interview scheduling
Maintain reliable and accurate employee records within the HRIS
Contribute to rewards and recognition programs and general office administrative tasks
Assist with ensuring overall multi-state employment law compliance
Requirements:
Demonstrated understanding of California employment law
2–3 years of experience in an HR Coordinator or HR administrative role preferred
Bilingual skills in Spanish and English strongly preferred
HRIS experience required
Strong organizational ability, a high attention to detail, and professionalism in managing confidential information
Excellent written and verbal communication as well as interpersonal skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-location work environment
At least 2 years of experience in HR is required
Nice to have:
Experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is a plus
