The Business Manager role is a senior role within the Human Resources function, working very closely with the Director of Human Resources. The role drives engagement within and external of the Human Resources team, ensuring that the HR component parts align with the strategic objectives of the LDA. This role supports the delivery of the wider Human Resources agenda, driving collaboration and organisational effectiveness by engaging with internal and external stakeholders. The role will work across departments, supporting collaboration, consistency, and the smooth execution of priority initiatives.
Job Responsibility:
Be a trusted advisor, sounding board and key support to the Director of Human Resources on strategic and operational items across the Agency.
Undertake a review of the systems, processes and procedures of the HR function with a view to recommending and rolling out a HR Optimisation programme.
Act as a delegate for the Director of Human Resources in projects and meetings, where appropriate.
Lead or provide input into ad hoc projects, as required.
Foster engagement, knowledge sharing and strong communication across the Human Resources team.
Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships across the Agency.
Collaborate with the Governance team to support the Governance Framework.
Contribute to working groups on Risk Management and Internal Control activities.
Lead the preparation and consolidation of monthly reports for Executive Management Team and Board meetings.
Prepare and coordinate the delivery of the HR function's annual workplan.
Requirements:
Third level qualification, or equivalent, in Business, Project or Program Management or a related discipline.
Minimum five years’ experience working in a comparable senior role
Deep experience in stakeholder relationship management
Leadership experience in enhancing business unit, departmental and wider organizational collaboration and effectiveness.
Nice to have:
A qualification in Human Resources would be a strong advantage.
