We are looking for a proactive Human Resources (HR) Assistant to join our team on a contract basis in Carpinteria, California. In this role, you will support critical HR functions, including onboarding, employee relations, and administrative tasks, to ensure smooth operations within the department. Job Responsibility:
Coordinate and execute onboarding activities to ensure new hires are smoothly integrated into the organization
Maintain and update HRIS platforms, ensuring accuracy and compliance with organizational standards
Assist with employee relations by addressing inquiries and providing guidance on HR policies and procedures
Conduct background checks and verify employment eligibility for new hires
Support administrative tasks, such as maintaining employee records and preparing HR documents
Collaborate with team members to enhance HR processes and improve efficiencies
Communicate with various departments to ensure alignment on HR-related matters
Help organize and facilitate training sessions and development programs
Provide timely support for employee requests and HR-related concerns
Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable labor regulations
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in Human Resources or related field
Proficiency in HRIS platforms and familiarity with HR administrative processes
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
Experience with onboarding procedures
Knowledge of employee relations and HR policies
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Working knowledge of labor laws and compliance standards
