Job Description

Our client has an immediate need for an experienced HR Assistant to support centralized HR operations and provide first-level employee support. This is a long-term contract opportunity expected to run through the end of 2026. The position requires onsite presence three days per week (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday) in The Woodlands, with flexibility around standard 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM hours. This role is heavily focused on HRIS processing, employee support, and high-volume administrative HR functions.

Job Responsibility

  • Serve as first-level support for employee inquiries related to HR systems, payroll, and benefits
  • Perform high-volume HRIS data entry and system processing
  • Support organizational management updates and position changes
  • Process employee actions, LOAs, LTDs, grad rotations, and pay-impacting transactions
  • Submit and manage garnishment requests and coordinate with payroll vendors
  • Validate and audit employee master data prior to payroll processing
  • Post and maintain organizational charts and internal announcements
  • Support education reimbursements and employment verifications
  • Assist with HR system testing and validation of updates
  • Generate basic HR reports and support compliance inquiries

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 5+ years of HR-related experience
  • Strong HRIS system experience required
  • Experience with systems such as ADP, Workday, or similar platforms preferred
  • Strong customer service mindset and attention to detail
  • Must be able to work onsite three days per week (non-negotiable)
