We are looking for an organized Human Resources Assistant to support day-to-day HR operations in Missouri. This Contract position will help coordinate employee onboarding, maintain accurate HR records, and assist with core administrative tasks that keep the department running smoothly. The ideal candidate brings strong attention to detail, sound judgment when handling sensitive information, and a service-focused approach when working with employees and internal teams.
Job Responsibility
Coordinate onboarding activities by preparing onboarding materials, tracking pre-employment steps, and helping ensure a smooth start for incoming employees
Maintain employee information within HR systems, verifying accuracy, updating records, and supporting routine data administration
Assist with background screening processes by monitoring required documentation, following up on pending items, and keeping recruitment workflows on schedule
Provide administrative support for HR operations, including document preparation, file organization, and response to general employee inquiries
Support employee relations efforts by directing questions appropriately, documenting concerns when needed, and helping promote consistent HR practices
Work with managers and internal partners to track onboarding progress and communicate status updates in a timely manner
Help ensure HR documentation is complete and compliant by reviewing forms, identifying missing details, and escalating issues as appropriate
Contribute to HR process support involving onboarding-related systems or workflow updates as assigned
Requirements
Experience supporting HR administration in a detail-oriented office or corporate environment
Hands-on familiarity with HRIS platforms and accurate data entry within employee record systems
Knowledge of onboarding coordination, including document collection and pre-employment task tracking
Experience assisting with candidate screening processes and handling confidential personnel information responsibly
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with employees, managers, and cross-functional teams
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Understanding of employee relations support practices and appropriate escalation of sensitive matters
