Job Description

We are looking for a highly organized and dependable part-time Human Resources (HR) Assistant to join our team in San Francisco, California. In this long-term contract position, you will play a vital role in supporting HR operations and collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure the seamless management of employee data and processes. This role requires a strong focus on accuracy, confidentiality, and proactive problem-solving.

Job Responsibility

  • Perform employment verifications and maintain accurate employee records to ensure compliance
  • Manage onboarding processes by entering and updating new employee information in HR systems
  • Update and maintain employee data, including job titles and organizational changes, in a timely manner
  • Provide support for benefits-related inquiries and offer guidance on HR policies
  • Execute data uploads, such as merit increases, and perform manual data entry as needed
  • Use internal documentation tools to ensure alignment with company policies and procedures
  • Handle sensitive employee information with the utmost confidentiality and professionalism
  • Follow established HR processes and instructions with a high level of attention to detail
  • Collaborate with the VP of People and People Managers to support day-to-day HR operations

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience in administrative or HR support roles, with HR exposure preferred
  • Proficiency in handling HR data and systems
  • experience with Paylocity is a plus
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism
  • Basic understanding of HR processes, including benefits and policy administration
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a remote environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with onboarding processes and employee lifecycle support is advantageous
