We are currently looking for an HR and Training Generalist to join our Western Canada HR team. Reporting to the Director, Human Resources this role will support Human Resource operations including the management and administration of the day-to-day departmental workflow, administrative activities, recruitment and onboarding, maintenance of the HRIS, employee files, benefit and pension administration and all employee documentation. This role will also support the training team by scheduling online learning, pulling and maintaining training reports and documentation, and other duties as required.
Job Responsibility:
HRIS (Workday) Administration: Data maintenance, auditing data, ensuring all employee records are accurate, creation of all reports as required
Liaise with the payroll department, ensuring excellent flow of information during hires, terms, transfers, promotions etc.
Provide assistance and advice to management and employees on benefits, pension and act as a liaison with carriers
Coordinate all Short-Term and Long-Term Disability claims in conjunction with the insurance carrier
Responsible for posting open roles, prescreening candidates, and organizing interviews with hiring managers
Preparation of all employment letters & new hire packages
Assist with consultation and interpretation of company HR policies and practices, labour legislation to employees
Assist with the investigation of Human Rights complaints (as required)
Assist with the WCB process and follow-up with field/operations to obtain necessary documentation to manage claims
Assist with the Performance Evaluation Process
Prepare all correspondence: memos, letters, reports etc.
Respond to routine enquiries via phone, e-mail or in person
Provides administrative support to the Director, Human Resources
Perform other related duties, as assigned, that are in accordance with the job responsibilities or as required for the departmental and corporate objectives
Training administration: Training record maintenance, scheduling and providing general support to ensure the smooth functioning of training operations and initiatives
Monitor training programs and manuals to ensure that they are effective and up to date, making edits as required
Schedule training sessions and manage online course enrolment in Workday
Development of reports and KRA’s to measure and report training results
Requirements:
2 - 4 years human resources experience
Diploma and/or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or relevant experience
Strong computer skills with intermediate to advanced ability in MS Office applications and various databases
Experience or knowledge of working in an organizational HRIS
High integrity and demonstrated ability to deal professionally with confidential information and sensitive issues
Ability to adapt to change and shifting priorities
Excellent oral and written communication skills
