We are seeking a motivated and organized HR Advisor to join a leading community-based organization for a three-month temporary assignment, with the potential for extension or permanent placement for the right candidate. We require an immediate contributor to manage the full-cycle recruitment process and support our client's team hiring initiatives. Our client is a prominent non-profit dedicated to providing essential housing, health, and support services to the region. Job Responsibility:
Lead the hiring process for all unionized and exempt positions, ensuring a seamless experience from initial posting to final offer
Develop and execute innovative recruitment strategies to target priority roles and establish our organization as an employer of choice within the sector
Oversee all applicant tracking workflows, internal postings, and external job board management to ensure timely and effective hiring cycles
Act as the primary liaison with external stakeholders, including professional networks, post-secondary institutions, and employment agencies
Coordinate all recruitment logistics, including screening, interviewing, reference checks, employment verifications, and the facilitation of new hire orientations
Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) values are deeply integrated into all recruitment language and practices
Participate in industry conferences, career fairs, and networking events (both virtual and in-person) to engage potential candidates and community partners
Requirements:
Possess a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
Hold a CPHR designation (strongly preferred)
Demonstrate a minimum of five (5) years of HR Generalist experience, specifically focused on full-cycle recruitment
Exhibit proven experience navigating recruitment within a unionized environment
Successfully complete a comprehensive Provincial Criminal Record Check through the Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General
Maintain exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to provide regular, effective updates to all internal supervisors and stakeholders

Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to provide clear, consistent updates to supervisors and stakeholders throughout the hiring workflow
