We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Administrator to join a client in Kansas City, Missouri. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing a variety of HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, benefits management, and compliance reporting, ensuring all tasks are handled efficiently and in adherence to company policies and government regulations. This is a Contract-to-Permanent position, requiring strong organizational skills and the ability to support employees with their HR-related needs.
Job Responsibility:
Manage job postings and applicant tracking using Paycom software, ensuring a seamless recruitment process
Prepare and issue employment offer letters to selected candidates
Coordinate onboarding activities such as background checks, drug screenings, and payroll system setup
Provide new hires with comprehensive benefits information and complete necessary documentation, including I-9 and E-Verify forms
Administer offboarding processes, including collecting company property, preparing separation letters, and processing final payments
Oversee employee benefits administration, including open enrollment, qualifying events, and communications with insurance carriers
Ensure company drivers maintain current licenses and certifications, scheduling renewals and training as needed
Conduct quarterly and annual compliance tasks, such as random drug screenings, EEO-1 reporting, and insurance audits
Serve as a backup for payroll administration when required
Perform other administrative duties to support HR operations as needed
Requirements:
High school diploma required
a bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field is preferred
Minimum of 2 years of HR administration experience
3-5 years preferred
Familiarity with Paycom or similar HR software is strongly desired
Knowledge of employment laws, regulatory compliance, and employee benefit plans
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
Ability to provide outstanding internal customer service and support employees with HR-related inquiries
