The HR Administrator assists with processing, tracking and general administration of all personnel transactions including completing and filing necessary forms and paperwork. This is an administrative position and operates under the guidance of the Human Resources Generalist – Manager and the Sr. Vice President in accordance with established corporate guidelines, maintaining compliance with strict state and federal standards.
Job Responsibility:
Supports and handles administrative details and paperwork for all HR related processes including but not limited to personnel changes, performance reviews, termination packages, COBRA administration, referrals and hiring bonuses and employment verifications
Helps support the compliance with state and federal guidelines relative to critical filings and paper work details
Ensures that all employee data current and that files are up-to-date
Assists employees on a day-to-day basis answering questions completing paper work for variety of concerns including routine paper work
New Hires support including initial background check, administration of new hire information packs, and assisting with orientations
Helps support Benefit administration, Dental/Medical/Life/Disability adds and deletes, FMLA/medical & personal LOA process & tracking
Back-up to supporting Worker’s compensation claims processing and tracking
Assist in supporting our Apprentice state registrations/tracking/school registrations and attendance tracking/weekly hourly report, process increase as needed
Assist in supporting our VA Registrations/monthly Hr. submission
Assist Safety Department – for needed training, reports etc. copies
Assist with annual open enrollments (Medical Insurance – April)
Completion of any all tasks that may be needed to ensure the smooth and successful operation of the HR department
Requirements:
High school diploma with a minimum of 4 years of college (AND/OR equivalent experience in human resources)
Highly organized and process driven
Excellent computer skills, with the ability to learn new applications
Excellent attention to detail, deadline focused with a strong focus on accuracy and consistency
Excellent interpersonal skills -- the ability to deal with multiple personalities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Must be able to work under pressure
Must have outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Strong proficiency with MS Office suite, and the ability/aptitude to learn new applications
Working familiarity with office machines: printers, scanners, tablet
Display a high degree of integrity, confidentiality and discretion
