Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Administrator to join our team in Carmel, Indiana. In this Contract-to-Permanent role, you will play a pivotal part in managing HR functions, including employee relations, recruitment, benefits administration, and compliance. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of HR systems and labor laws.

Job Responsibility:

  • Address employee concerns and foster a positive work environment through effective communication and resolution strategies
  • Provide guidance and support to management and staff on HR-related matters, ensuring alignment with organizational goals
  • Oversee the recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and onboarding procedures
  • Maintain and update job descriptions and organizational charts to reflect current roles and responsibilities
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives, while coordinating with providers to resolve issues
  • Prepare and manage employee contracts, offer letters, and policy documentation to ensure compliance with labor laws
  • Process payroll accurately and on time using ADP Workforce Now or equivalent systems, while maintaining employee records and reports
  • Track annual compliance requirements and ensure employees complete necessary training sessions
  • Utilize HR systems effectively to manage time-off requests, reporting, and updates
  • Monitor adherence to company policies and employment regulations, implementing updates as needed

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR generalist or HR leadership roles, preferably within small organizations or nonprofits
  • Proficiency in using ADP Workforce Now and other HR systems
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with compliance tracking, payroll processing, and benefits administration
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented, mission-driven environment
