We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Administrator to join our team in Carmel, Indiana. In this Contract-to-Permanent role, you will play a pivotal part in managing HR functions, including employee relations, recruitment, benefits administration, and compliance. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of HR systems and labor laws.
Job Responsibility:
Address employee concerns and foster a positive work environment through effective communication and resolution strategies
Provide guidance and support to management and staff on HR-related matters, ensuring alignment with organizational goals
Oversee the recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and onboarding procedures
Maintain and update job descriptions and organizational charts to reflect current roles and responsibilities
Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives, while coordinating with providers to resolve issues
Prepare and manage employee contracts, offer letters, and policy documentation to ensure compliance with labor laws
Process payroll accurately and on time using ADP Workforce Now or equivalent systems, while maintaining employee records and reports
Track annual compliance requirements and ensure employees complete necessary training sessions
Utilize HR systems effectively to manage time-off requests, reporting, and updates
Monitor adherence to company policies and employment regulations, implementing updates as needed
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR generalist or HR leadership roles, preferably within small organizations or nonprofits
Proficiency in using ADP Workforce Now and other HR systems
Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations
Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
Familiarity with compliance tracking, payroll processing, and benefits administration
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented, mission-driven environment
