As a Human Factors Specialist supporting the TRINITY (Battlefield Communications) Programme, you will assist in delivering User-Centred Design and Integration activities. This could include assessing Commercial-Off-The-Shelf equipment against system requirements / user needs; engaging with users to understand their goals and tasks; conducting detailed analyses to understand cognitive workload and human error; anthropometric assessment and workspace/workstation design; working with other engineering functions and disciplines to support their tasks.
Job Responsibility:
Support Vigilant lead HFI specialist in the conduct of human factors activities and integration of HF into the TRINITY design
Work with end user groups and HF stakeholders in workshops, trials and User-Centred Design activities
Assess prototypes/mock-ups of TRINITY hardware and software solutions
Conduct analyses such as, task analysis, human error analysis, usability and workload assessments
Support Integration Testing and verification activities
Produce reports and input to customer deliverables
Requirements:
Proven ability as a Human Factors practitioner in defence or a safety-critical industry
Proven ability in the application of Def Stan 00-251 whilst working within a multi-disciplinary team on complex system integration and development projects
Worked in a military / defence environment / industry within the last 12 months or who is capable of obtaining security clearance (SC level minimum)
