Job Description:

The HR Risk and Control organization, under the HR Function, is responsible for establishing frameworks with respect to both the identification and management of Human Capital Risk (HCR), as well as organizational control and compliance strategies and programs. This role will drive data-driven and holistic risk management through the development and implementation of enhanced capabilities to proactively identify, assess, measure, and control HCR-related risks.

Job Responsibility:

  • Human Capital Risk Management & Oversight: Influence the design and execution of Citi’s enterprise-wide framework and measurements used to manage HCR-related risks associated with the employee lifecycle
  • Identifying Material, Emerging, and other notable HCR-related risks through detailed analysis of quantitative and qualitative sources of insight
  • Designing and implementing horizon scanning strategies to enable proactive risk assessments
  • Supporting updates to Citi’s Risk Taxonomy, as relevant
  • Leading updates to HCR’s Risk Appetite Statement and execute Risk Appetite Assessments in line with Enterprise Risk Management requirements
  • Driving the development of remediation and/or management action plans for risk management weaknesses
  • Supporting the development, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of meaningful risk metrics
  • Developing and/or providing subject matter expertise for the design and implementation of HCR-related controls
  • Leading and/or coordinating updates to HCR-related policies, standards, and procedures
  • Partnering with Citi’s businesses and functions to promote HCR awareness and best practices
  • Developing, coordinating, and/or delivering HCR-related training
  • Delivering high quality, value-added multiple concurrent deliverables on time and to specification
  • Driving agendas for meetings and ensuring connectivity and comprehensive analysis of key information for both internal and external stakeholders
  • Driving the use of AI/Technology to enable more effective and efficient risk management
  • Proactively seeking to understand and act in alignment with organizational decisions

Requirements:

  • 8-10 years of experience in operational risk management, compliance, audit, or other control-related functions in the financial services industry
  • Strong analytical skills with proven ability to break down complex matters into core issues and root causes
  • Demonstrated history of accountability and ownership, with strong results orientation
  • Proven track record of operating effectively in high-pressure, fast-paced environments, demonstrating resilience and sound judgment under ambiguity
  • Demonstrated history of providing constructive challenge and making recommendations for risk and controls remediation
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills to effectively collaborate across a variety of global stakeholders
  • Proven ability to “connect the dots” across disparate data to proactively identify actionable themes and opportunities
  • Capability to enhance, automate, and simplify processes and controls
  • Ability to inspire curiosity with demonstrated history of continuous learning and improvement
  • Bachelor's/University degree
