We’re looking for a Manufacturing Engineer with a Project Engineering focus to support the development and manufacture of next‑generation turbine components.
Job Responsibility:
Deliver manufacturing methods that meet demanding technical requirements
Translate customer needs into robust, validated technical packages
Plan, manage, and execute engineering projects using risk, cost, and schedule tools
Collaborate with academic researchers, designers, operations teams, and external partners
Support resolution of technical issues, non‑conformance, and process optimisation
Play a pivotal role in shaping future manufacturing capability for turbine technologies
Act as a bridge between design, research, and manufacturing
Develop proof‑of‑concept solutions
Influence partner profitability through advanced engineering
Contribute to world‑leading research in single‑crystal casting & machining
Develop novel manufacturing methods for future turbine component design
Requirements:
A relevant degree or equivalent hands‑on engineering experience
Strong understanding of manufacturing and component engineering principles
Ideally, experience with turbine components, investment casting, or machining
Skills in problem‑solving, programme management, risk management, and change control
Nice to have:
Experience in some of the following would be a significant advantage: Working in research environments
Design for Manufacture (DfM)
CAD/CAM tools
Developing experiments, methods of manufacture, or inspection capabilities
Resolving non‑conformance issues
Developing and improving manufacturing processes
Supporting technicians and equipment capability development
